I’ve been feeling lately like I just keep shooting the same thing over and over again. I think I’ve exhausted all the compelling shots from the Kelowna area. Because of this, I went through my flickr favorites to see what others were doing, looking for inspiration. I found some.
A flickrite from Georgia, named Lauren, has been doing some amazing things with ND (neutral density) filters for a while. Her shots have always intrigued me. Enough to go buy a B+W 1.8 (6 stops) ND.
The above image is from the first set of shots that I took with it. The ND allows less light in, meaning the shutter can stay open longer without over exposing. The silky smooth water is a bi-product of this long exposure.
Thank you Lauren. Your shots were the inspiration I needed.
